About Breon

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) that provides mental health therapy to kids, adolescents, and young adults.

I approach therapy as a collaborative and relational process where children, teens, and young adults can feel safe to be fully themselves. At the core of my work is empathy—I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, cared for, and supported. I believe that when someone feels safe and understood, it opens the door for meaningful growth.

With children, this often includes play and creative expression. With teens and young adults, it may look more like open conversation, reflection, and exploration of identity and relationships.

I have experience working in schools, hospitals, and private practice.

Behind the Name

River Forest Therapy is named after the neighborhood I grew up in—River Forest in Louisiana, a place that shaped who I am. I carry that experience into my work.

I strive to create a therapy space that feels just as safe, grounded, and encouraging—a place where clients can explore themselves freely, take emotional risks, and discover new ways of understanding who they are. Growth doesn't require perfection, and therapy can be a space where it's okay to not have everything figured out.
